Dr. Renee Laframboise

Nice to meet you!

I'm Dr. Renee!

I'm a family chiropractor

Whether someone comes in with back pain, headaches, a sports injury, or simply wants to move more comfortably, my goal is always the same—to listen first, assess carefully, and work with you to create a plan that makes sense for your goals.

I grew up in Sudbury before completing my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Laurentian University and earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College.

After practicing throughout Greater Sudbury, I opened my clinic in Azilda because I wanted to provide personalized chiropractic care in a welcoming community setting.

I believe patients deserve clear explanations, honest recommendations, and the opportunity to make informed decisions about their health. My role isn't simply to treat symptoms—it's to help you understand what's happening and support you in reaching your goals.

Get To Know Dr. Renee

🐶 I'm definitely a dog person.

If you have a dog, there's a good chance we'll end up talking about them. Fair warning—I will probably ask to see pictures.

🎳 Bowling has been a big part of my life.

When I'm not in the clinic, you'll usually find me coaching or competing in 5-pin bowling. It's taken me across Canada, introduced me to lifelong friends, and taught me the value of preparation, patience, and always striving to improve.

☕ Coffee is my unofficial assistant.

There's a pretty good chance you'll find a cup of coffee somewhere in the clinic. Coffee has definitely earned its place as part of the team.

📚 I'm always learning.

Healthcare is always evolving, and I think it's important that I keep learning too. I'm always looking for ways to improve so I can provide the best care possible.

🤝 I'm in your corner.

When you come into my office, your goals become my goals. Whether you're hoping to get back to work, return to a hobby you love, keep up with your kids or grandkids, or simply move more comfortably, I'm here to help you get there.

The best part of my job is hearing a patient say, "I was finally able to..." Those moments never get old.

FAQs

How does chiropractic care help with pain relief?

Chiropractic care focuses on identifying and treating problems involving the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system that may be contributing to pain or restricted movement. Treatment may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and education to help reduce pain, improve movement, and support your body's natural healing process.

Is chiropractic care safe for children?

Yes. Chiropractic care for children uses gentle, age-appropriate techniques tailored to each child's needs. Whether they're dealing with growing pains, posture concerns, sports injuries, or general aches and pains, treatment is always adapted to the child's age, size, and comfort level.

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

Absolutely. Chiropractic care during pregnancy uses gentle techniques that are adapted to your changing body. Many pregnant patients seek care to help with back pain, pelvic discomfort, and other common aches associated with pregnancy. Treatment is always modified to keep both you and your baby comfortable throughout your care.

I don't like the "cracking" sound, can I still get adjusted?

Absolutely! Not every adjustment involves the familiar "cracking" sound. Dr. Renee regularly uses instrument-assisted techniques that don't produce that noise. If you have a preference, just let us know—we'll work with you to find an approach you're comfortable with.

How long will I need to wait for an appointment?

We can often book new patients the same day or the next business day, depending on availability. Online booking is available up to one hour before your appointment, and if you're trying to book on shorter notice, just give us a call—we'll do our best to fit you in.

Are appointments required?

Yes, appointments are required. If you are in the area and are looking to get onto the schedule, just call the office and they will see what Dr. Renee's availability is like.

Why is a credit card required to book?

A credit card is required to secure your appointment when booking online. It isn't charged unless you miss your appointment without notice. Unfortunately, this policy became necessary due to an increase in no-shows over the past several years.

What types of adjustments does Dr. Renee do?

Dr. Renee uses a variety of chiropractic techniques and always chooses the one that's most appropriate for you. Patient comfort, health history, and personal preferences are always taken into account. If there's a particular technique you're uncomfortable with, just let us know—we're happy to adapt your care whenever possible.

Will I be adjusted on the first visit?

In many cases, yes. If it's safe and appropriate to do so, Dr. Renee will typically perform a complaint-based adjustment during your first visit. However, if further testing or imaging is needed before treatment, your adjustment may be postponed until those results have been reviewed. Every recommendation is made on a case-by-case basis with your safety in mind.

How often will I need to come in for my appointments?

Every patient is different. Your recommended schedule will depend on your examination findings, your goals, and how your body responds to care. As you improve, appointments are typically spaced farther apart. Throughout your care, we'll regularly reassess your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan as needed.

How often will my progress be assessed?

After the initial visit, the progress of each patient will be reassessed periodically. Typically a re-evaluation is performed by Dr. Renee every 12 visits. Re-assessments must be performed within 24 visits as per College of Chiropractors of Ontario standards of practice.

Will my extended benefits cover my care?

Most extended health plans include coverage for chiropractic care, but every plan is different. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage and whether a referral is required. While we don't direct-bill extended health benefits, we'll provide you with an invoice you can submit for reimbursement.

Is there a cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, we simply ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.

A credit card is required for online booking and is only charged in the event of a missed appointment without notice.
